Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

Only complaint is proportionately my body length/height is more in my torso than legs so the straps pull down on my shoulders a bit but that's more a me issue. I really love it, it's unique has good coverage and good compression. I have never bought a swim suit before because I'm pretty particular and dislike typical plus size swimwear so it is really a relief to have found something I like.
