As an alternative to stop watches for swim races, we have smart technology options, called lane timers, to help ensure you record swimmers’ accurate times. Lane timers help eliminate human error when timing swimmers by attaching to a touch pad on the wall. That way, when the swimmer touches the wall, a sensor is activated and the time is recorded.
Lane timers work in conjunction with a touchpad, in case the swimmer misses the touch pad or the touch pad is not activated for any reason. Lane timers can also connect to a display, such as a time system or scoreboard. For a simple, low-cost alternative, check out our stopwatches.
