Measure around the widest point of your hips and buttocks.
Start at inner shoulder, come down the front of the torso and go between the legs. Continue up the back to the start of the tape on the shoulder.

This suit fit me so well. It was also really comfortable on my shoulders and back. But one major complaint was that the color faded reallly easily. I had gotten a purple and black and they both faded color in about 2 months. Other than that, really great suit

This is a very cute item that looks just as it is shown on the model. I am 5'4 and an athletic build (not fat but deeefinitely not thin) and this suit is very flattering even though I usually not like things with such thin straps. I am usually a size medium but I had to get an x-large in this because it runs quite small, but I am still a fan. I had bought a large originally but returned it and bought x-large. The return was easy and because I took the refund as store credit, I got the new suit free (since it was the same price) and with free shipping (since I paid to ship back the return). It DOES have a shelf bra to my surprise and delight. They must have read past reviews and improved upon this :D My favorite part of the suit is the back which looks like you have on a bikini but the way it ties does not accentuate back fat which I have a bit of. All in all very nice purchase. /simple suit but a good buy.
