Arena Solid Spiky 2 Large Backpack

I had a large mesh paneled backpack with the right shoulder straps & drawstring top which I used for years. The only issues I had were the drawstring top & the collapsible sides - it was a bit of a pain to get my equipment in & out. I carry fins, snorkel, kickboard, pull buoy, 3 sets of goggles & other assorted things - ok, so I’m a bit of a nut but I like all of my stuff with me because you don’t know what the Masters workouts are until you are at the pool itself, so I’m prepared. Anyway, I bought this Arena Spikey because the wide opening in the top & it maintains it shape. I’ve used it & love it immensely because it has sufficient room inside & the side pockets hold my goggles quite nicely. I like the bright blue because I can see it from a distance. The only design flaw for my specific use is the bottom pocket area at the base of the backpack. I don’t get why it’s there & if eliminated it would create more depth to the pack itself but it isn’t a deterrent for me, just puzzling. All in all, it is high quality & I’d highly recommend it!

I bought this backpack as duffel bags or other one shoulder bags are causing me back strain. I use this backpack as a gym bag and not specifically for swimming. I love all the ventilation as it helps my gym gear air out a bit. I love the sturdiness of the bag and how it remains standing as I change my clothes or pack. The pack is large and holds my equipment (shoes, two smaller bags with workout clothes and street clothes) without any trouble. There are many smaller pockets for holding other items (lock, deodorant, headphones, running gear). I have even carried my yoga mat in this bag (my yoga mat doesn’t completely fit inside but well enough to carry). This bag was just what I was looking for!
