As an alternative to Sharpie markers, these work well. I received one pack where the blue was bone dry, but Swim Outlet sent out a new package - all markers worked. Having the colors is helpful when writing the meet events, Heat, and Lane information on the kid's arms. Of course, the kids like other silly things written on their arms, shoulders, legs too...and the different colors are nice to have. So far, the writing stays on well and is legible for the entire meet, in and out of the water. Also, will stay on the skin until soap is applied. The green color is the least distinct color - it seems to spread out more, making it harder to read so we write dividing lines with it, but do not use for letter or numbers. We found that the pink color is the hardest to remove. We've tried soap, alcohol (hand sanitizer), and Noxema - all help to remove the writing, but the pink was the most resistant and left faint markings on the skin. Although not in this pack, the black markers by the same brand/company write very clearly with a bold line, but it is the easiest color to remove for us.
